The Lucky Guy♥

There are things you can never control. You know what? Love is one of them.

There are some fairytale characters I'm so jealous of. Cinderella, for one. She lived on easy street, thanks to a prince. Juliet. She had a man to love for life. Oh, and Snow White, too. Sleeping Beauty met a prince while sleeping. These princesses are just so lucky. Me, on the other hand? I guess I beat them all.

While there's always a man behind a woman's happiness, mine's joy. I found true joy. I'm not too picky when it comes to men. Actually, no, I'm not picky at all.

And the lucky guy? He's not Prince Charming. He's more than Mr. Right. He's not a Prince but a King. Yes, the King of all Kings. The God of all Gods. Sakanya ako in love ngayon. :)

Nahulaan nyo na kung sino? *wink*

Friday Weddings: Rings

wedding band is worn by couples which naturally indicates that one is married. It's a symbol of eternal love, a circle that has no beginning and no end.

It's very ironic of me that when it comes to fashion, things and styles, I absolutely want simple but has a complicated twist. It has to be rich in details and more importantly, it has to be unique and has its own distinct quality. Like it should have to be a one-of-a-kind.

Ironic, isn't it?

Well, I certainly don't have any idea what would I want my wedding ring to look like. But I wanted it simple but not ordinary.
I guess, this is exactly what I mean of simple but has rich in detail and is very unique.

This, however, is the opposite of what's on my mind for a wedding band. I have seen a lot of designs like this but it never failed me to want and own a pair of it. Yes, it's ordinary. Everyone was like wearing it nowadays. But I guess, at the end of the day, you can feel the sophistication and the glamorous it can bring while wearing it. Classic, that's the word. :) I think, I would still consider this design and style in the future, after all! ;-)

Couples opt to have a romantic message engraved on the inside part of their wedding bands. And this one would also be a winner! Simple yet very romantic!

When choosing a wedding band, consider your personality. It will help you to know what kind of design to settle on. Choose wedding ring that is comfortable to wear. Choose a metal and precious stones that will withstand the test of time as wedding rings last a lifetime. But the most important thing is to work within a budget and get wedding bands that are suitable for you.

Ako'y Binago Nya

I wasn't confident enough to sing the song Nicko and Helen suggested and handed over me last week to practice. But because of the message and its beautiful melody I was deeply moved and was so inspired to give it a shot instead.

And so I performed it this morning despite the confidence left inside me yet, sang it with all my heart and might. Kahit alam kong nawawala ako sa tono at nagfa-flat ang boses ko, it didn't bothered me because I realized I was singing to my ever dearest best friend and creator, Lord Jesus, who transformed me and made me into the person I never thought I would have become. :)

Imagine, napakanta ako sa harap ng maraming tao sa church na hindi ko kilala at sa harap pa ng isang talented recording artist. Goodness!!! Hahaha. Apparently, this is the person that I am today. Dahil sa sobrang in love ko sa Kanya, I can do all things I never thought possible. All because of Jesus Christ. :)

My favorite line: ♫♫ "O kay buti ng Diyos at ako'y binago Nya." ♪♪

Friday Weddings: Flower Power

Pink Stargazer

 Yellow Sunflower

Red Tulips

The path I chose to walk from here onward..

Twenty six years.

It took me twenty six long years before I could finally find my way to rediscover and meet the real GOD that I used to offer prayers and sing praises and worship every Sunday inside a Catholic church.

Yes, I've known Him all my life. But not the way I have known Him today as a Christian.

It must be really true that God has a plan for each one of us and, indeed, it really is. In fact it is written in the bible, in the book of Jeremiah 29: 11, "For I know the plans I have for you." Only He knows what's in store for us in the future. Perhaps, God has a purpose for me that He let twenty six years to pass before He led me to the path where He intended me to meet HIM.

Maybe, just maybe, God wanted me to be a part of this church where I wholeheartedly decided to serve with all my might, with all my heart, with all my faith and with all my strength. The church where I wanted to grow deeper in love with Jesus. The church where I intended to nourish and firmly develop more my relationship with Him, Jesus Christ The Prince of Peace.

Born again Christian. The path I chose to walk from here now on, until the remaining days and until the second coming of my savior, Jesus Christ.♥

Forgiver

I learned this song from my church-mate's special number performed last month. From then on, I constantly catch them singing this song during break times and whenever they start jamming.

Just this today, this morning, that I finally remember to search for its lyrics. Thank God I did remembered!! The lyrics is superb!! I am beyond grateful to know that at the end of the day, despite having committed mistakes and sins left and right, intentional or not, I am forgiven..for my God, the most powerful God, is a forgiver. He chose to die so I could live forever. Imagine that!?

Thank you, Lord.

Friday Weddings: A Perfect Wedding Dress

A perfect wedding dress for me would be a Greek goddess inspired wedding gown. Basically, I just want a very simple wedding dress that are rich in volume and drapes, and has that breezy effect when I walk down the aisle. And, since I love the look of a Grecian goddess, these wedding dresses will definitely be a bomb!

Happy Birthday to my Mama dearest!

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful creation of God.. Happy Birthday Mama. :) You truly are a blessing. The greatest gift I have ever received from God. You truly are God's manifestation of how BIG He loves me and cares for me. Ikaw, Mama, ang patunay kung gaano ako kamahal ng Diyos. I am eternally grateful to Jesus.

Six years and six birthdays that we're apart.. but your image is still alive in my head and is engraved in my heart. Your image of you holding and reading your bible each night will always remain to be the most beautiful memory of you in my heart and soul. Thank you for being such a good example to me and Ezel. The greatest mother ever! All that we are today, we owe it to you Mama.

I love you to every bits and part of me. ♥

*Blowing infinite kisses to the sky* (Hope it reaches the great state of Sacramento)

Friday Weddings: Bridesmaid

I've got like two major set of friends, or what we call in our native tongue, "barkada". One in High School and the other from College.
 High School
 College

Years had passed and none from each of them are married. So where am I heading to? Well.. as a matter of fact, I haven't really had attended any wedding from any close friends nor I have become a Bridesmaid except for two occasions. One when I was seven years old and got to be my Tita Susan's flower girl..

and the second was when my bestfriend Amie and her Iranian boyfriend, Mamad, of four years get married last April 12, 2010 in a simple civil wedding rites in Quezon City Hall where I get to be their witness and sign in their marriage contract.

Other than that, I have nothing else.

However, there were few friends that I wish I had attended their wedding. Like my newest friend, Nida, whom I had previously called "pakner", became "marsy", for her youngest 6-month-old son, Francis Aaron, is my Godson. :)

The day I saw her wedding photos, I suddenly had a flashback. It was my first Junior Prom. The look and the gown I wore that night were so vivid in my memory. My hair brushed up, all made up and the gown shining in gold.. just like the flower girls' dresses.. I used the exact same color the bride chose for her wedding motif. Wish I was there when she exchanged her I do. :)

Ate Kath's wedding that I failed to attend to last 2010. Our friendship is a unique one. We just met online through similar cyber friends who introduced us.. and from then on, we became regular chat buddies to being real friends of the real world.

She's 9 weeks pregnant today and I just wish her nothing but the best for her child and a good life ahead of her with her beautiful family. :)

I miss you, Ate Kath! :)

France's dream wedding. The wedding I earnestly seek to witness. Though it's really her eldest brother that I am close to. Hahaha. It's just that I was truly in awe that she was able to pull up such a wonderful and extra-detailed-wedding.

Her modern vintage gown was beautifully crafted. The head-dress she wore amazingly complimented her gown. The church and venue held in Ilocos was the perfect place for a romantic wedding (at least for me). The vintage car they used, their pre-nup photo shoots idea and her glamorous look during the wedding were all close to perfection!

But for the most part, I just love how they look perfect together.

France's dream wedding gown. The wedding gown I envy so much!!! The gown to die for!!! Hahaha. Kiddin. ;P

Her personality and fashion taste clearly reflects from each detail in the gown. Very Frances! :)

Attorney Rica De Guzman's wedding. My professor in Introduction to Law in FEU Manila and an honorary sister of our Sorority. Back then, she was the most beautiful bachelorette lawyer professor in the school. And, my favorite among them all. Comes to her classes with just her jeans, Lacoste tee and a sneaker without any make up on. Wears nothing but her pretty unresistant smile and barely herself. She exudes elegance, natural beauty and has the purest heart.

I sincerely wish her the happiest and brightest marriage life. :)

Indeed, weddings are one of the happiest and joyful celebration that women awaits in their lifetime. Aside, of course, from having a baby on the way and building a family of her own. So to my best friends, both in High School and College, PLEASE... you all get marry naaaa!!! I so can't wait to be a Bridesmaid!!! Hahaha... ;D
